Once the population hits the 70-100-ish milestones I rip out alll the old production buildings and install the reactors and soda rooms, using all the accumulated money to near instantly make the conversion. Since the top of the vault is all production rooms and radio stations I just give these people the best weapons and they!re able to kill anything else that comes in. When they get attacked I just move the dwellers into rooms higher up in the vault and eventually deathclaws get bored and leave. They’re basically all starving, but that doesn’t kill them. Those in the wasteland collect more resources and money, supporting the growth of the training rooms. Quickly I get a few unique dwellers, and they’re sent into the wastelands, find more dwellers, rinse and repeat. I made my population skyrocket, and while most are sent to train, just enough are kept around to keep the lights on, and those with unusually high stats are sent on missions. No I was wayyy past my rescource supply for a looong time. Lol, wow my strategy really is different from yours. I’ve been looking to improve my elevator layout, since while my people can get around quickly, so too can the soda mascots, making keeping an eye on them harder. Bellow this it’s solid storage, and with a few people posted here to counter fires it’s no problem. Below are five nuclear reactors in a column (with five smaller reactors to the right) with two soda factories (and one of each other the other food rooms) to the left. Two pairs of medical rooms follow, then two double columns of SPECIAL rooms, with a tiny housing area on the right to let those in training flee. I fill these with trained dwellers with good weapons and it Wrecks anything that even tries to enter the base. When I make a base the first 3-4 floors are for weapon and outfit production, radio rooms, and storage. Elevators all the way up and down on the edges, empty spaces used to create safe spaces Incase of death claws, cargo space where every other swears is empty to prevent fires from spreading, floors entirely made of elevators, and also a column of SPECIAL rooms next to a column of resource rooms. A lot of the designs I see are, unexpected. I’ve already played this game beginning to end once and figured I’d look around and see what others did.
